This section contains general information for those
interested in a career in radiology. We include advice on how to apply
for a specialist registrar training post, taking the potential trainee
through the usual application, short listing and interview processes.
Mock interview questions are available as well as links to further
sources of information on the internet. We also provide a sample career
path, from medical school to completion of specialist training, and a
list of all the approved UK radiology training schemes.

Having
passed the fellowship examinations and organised your sub-specialty
training, your next step will be to prepare yourself to take up post as a
consultant radiologist. The SRT has assembled several pages of advice
including recommended background reading, how to assess a consultant post,
preparing your curriculum vitae, who to see after short-listing,
handling the interview and sample interview questions. These training resources
are available free to registered members. |
